How do you improve people’s facilitation skills – remotely?

You want hundreds of people around the world to start running workshops for their colleagues.  Some already have some experience.  Most don’t.  You’re supplying some materials.  You are doing this because:

– you want to develop a learning culture: you want staff to do this stuff for themselves.  See here for a nice parallel from education.

– it’s too expensive to fly trainers around the world

People are going to need a boost on their facilitation skills.  At the very least, they need some confidence – including the confidence to get off the stage, and let people learn by themselves.

Any ideas?

  1. One method to consider is the use of online learning tools such as GoTo Training. They offer a great way of delivering one to many, and a truly interactive and participative environment.
